What should I wear for my doctor headshot?

If you’re a surgeon or nurse who wears scrubs, we can capture a few shots in scrubs and a more formal outfit. It’s often a great idea to bring two outfits – for example, a suit or nice blouse and your lab coat – so you get both a polished business portrait and a friendly white coat headshot. We’ll guide you on-site with minor adjustments (like smoothing out your coat or adjusting a tie) to ensure you look your best.
Do you retouch headshots?
Definitely. Every selected doctor headshot photo goes through professional retouching. Our retouching is natural and subtle – we’ll polish up stray hairs, reduce undereye shadows or blemishes, and even out lighting while keeping you looking like you. If you wear glasses or a white coat, we might do minor tweaks like reducing glare or lint for a crisp final image. The result is a clean, publication-quality headshot that still feels authentic.

Whether it’s at your hospital, private practice, or medical office, I’ll bring a mobile studio setup to capture your physician headshots in an environment that’s convenient and authentic. (Our Set The Scene Doctor Headshot Package is designed for on-location shoots, and travel fees are included within the Bay Area.)
Do you work with both male and female doctors?
Yes! We work with doctors of all genders and specialties. Whether you’re a female physician, a male surgeon, or anyone in between, you’ll receive the same personalized guidance to capture your best look. We understand that things like hair, makeup, or posing might be concerns – we’re here to help with flattering lighting and direction. How quickly will I receive my images?
You’ll receive a private proofing gallery the same day of your shoot. After you select your favorites, I deliver professionally retouched final images within 3 business days. Need it faster? I offer rush turnaround options at no extra cost when requested.
What if I’m not happy with the results?
Your satisfaction is my priority. I review images with you so adjustments can be made in-session. After delivery, if changes are needed, I provide further edits or a free re-shoot. In rare cases, if expectations still aren’t met, I offer a full refund.
What file formats and sizes will I receive?
We deliver high-resolution JPEGs by default, with PNG or TIFF on request. Standard web files: ~1200–2000 px on the long side, optimized for fast loading. High-resolution masters up to ~6000 px available for print, media, and design.
